Our Teams
Worship
Coordinates with the Pastor and other worship leaders to make sure the congregation has the things it needs for worship each Sunday.
The Worship Team strives to make our church welcoming through the availability of greeters and ushers to assist as needed. We want the sanctuary to be eye appealing and comfortable and to encourage a prayerful atmosphere. We hope people leave the services enlightened and encouraged.
The following are volunteers required in order to have a service run smoothly:
- Acolyte Coordinator
- Altar Steward
- Greeters
- Ushers
- Liturgist
- Communion Stewards
- Technology Support/Audio Visual
The Worship Team is responsible for many events during the year:
- Christmas Season (Sundays in Advent, Christmas decorating, Christmas Eve Services)
- Easter Season (Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and
Easter Sunday) - Thanksgiving Service and Christ the King Sunday Service
- Outdoor Summer Services at Evergreen Park
- Preparing the Sanctuary by changing paraments, flowers, and candles
- All Saints Day which honors those that have passed during that year
- Veteran’s Sunday which honors veterans in the congregation
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Honoring
- Ordering of flowers for various holidays
- Support LYFT Team activities as needed
